A true treasure from the past, this aged oolong was harvested in the early 1980s in Fujian and has been preserved for more than four decades through careful storage and gentle, periodic charcoal roasting. Authentic aged oolongs from this era are now exceptionally rare, most teas from the 1980s were consumed long ago or were not aged under proper conditions. A well-preserved example like this is considered a collector’s jewel.
Over time, this tea has naturally developed its signature plum-like fragrance, with soft aged-wood aromatics and a refined sweetness reminiscent of dark cherries and sun-dried fruits. The flavour is deep yet elegant: smooth, warming, layered, and long-lasting.
Its liquor shines a clear reddish-amber, offering a clean, rounded, and meditative cup. Unlike fresh teas, aged oolong does not expire; when stored properly, it continues to evolve becoming mellower, more harmonious, and increasingly precious with time.
