Yixing Terracotta Teapot -  Bamboo Grove 竹林 

The Bamboo Grove Teapot draws its design inspiration from the slender, resilient, and graceful characteristics of bamboo, a plant deeply rooted in Chinese culture symbolizing strength, flexibility, and perseverance. The teapot embodies these qualities through its elegant and naturalistic form, with key design elements mimicking bamboo stalks and leaves.

The handle resemble a curved bamboo stem, giving the teapot a strong yet delicate appearance. The spout shaped to evoke a bamboo shoot, smoothly extending from the body, suggesting a harmonious flow of energy. Subtle engravings or relief work of bamboo leaves or nodes adorn the body, creating a sense of movement, as if the breeze is gently rustling through a bamboo grove.

Artist's 李建軍 Li Jianjun Bio: 

Li Jianjun, was born in Huaxi in 1965. In 1987, he began his passionate pursuit of Zi Sha teapot design and creation, receiving guidance from several renowned Zi Sha masters. In 1993, he established the "Lizi Teapot Art Center" in Beijing, where his works became highly favoured by teapot collectors in Beijing, as well as in Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan.

In 2002, Li founded "Huaxi Xuan" (画溪轩) in Dingshan. His teapot "Siyuan" (思源) won a silver award at the Shijiazhuang Tea Expo in 2003, and his *Duo Zhi* (掇只) teapot won a silver award at the Shanghai Famous Teapot Expo in 2004. In 2006, his "Qin Quan" (秦权壶) teapot won a gold award at the Dalian Famous Teapot Expo, and in 2007, his "Six-Sided Palace Lantern" (六方宮灯) teapot earned a gold award at the Fuzhou Famous Teapot Expo.
