This rare aged oolong from Fujian was harvested in the 1980's and has been carefully stored and gently re-roasted over the decades. Aged oolong teas are uncommon, as successful long-term aging requires excellent storage conditions making a well-preserved tea from the 1980's a true rarity.
Over time, this tea has naturally developed a soft, elegant plum-like fragrance, with subtle aged wood notes and a deep, rounded aroma. The taste reveals layers of dark cherry-like dried fruit, a hint of gentle tartness, and a clean, warming finish. The liquor is a clear, reddish amber, smooth and full-bodied, offering a rich yet graceful experience.
This is a meditative tea meant for slow appreciation and a prized find for seasoned tea drinkers and collectors alike.
