Authentic aged oolongs from this era are now exceptionally rare, most teas from the 1980s were consumed long ago or were not aged under proper conditions. A well-preserved example like this is considered a collector’s jewel.
Over time, this tea has naturally developed its signature plum-like fragrance, with soft aged-wood aromatics and a refined sweetness reminiscent of dark cherries and sun-dried fruits. The flavour is deep yet elegant: smooth, warming, layered, and long-lasting.
Its liquor shines a clear reddish-amber, offering a clean, rounded, and meditative cup. Unlike fresh teas, aged oolong does not expire; when stored properly, it continues to evolve becoming mellower, more harmonious, and increasingly precious with time.
