Yu Gai Teapot 玉蓋壺
Features & Benefits
Classic Yu Gai Form
The Yu Gai Teapot is admired for its clean cylindrical body and gracefully domed lid, creating a refined silhouette that reflects the minimalist beauty of classical Yixing design. Its balanced proportions provide excellent pouring control and a comfortable brewing experience, making it well suited for Gong Fu tea preparation.
Da Hong Pao Zhu Ni Clay
Crafted from Da Hong Pao Zhu Ni, one of Yixing's most sought-after red clays, this teapot is prized for its fine texture, brilliant reddish hue, and excellent heat responsiveness. The clay naturally accentuates the floral fragrance, sweetness, and lingering finish of premium oolong teas.
Balanced Heat Retention
With a wall thickness of 5, this teapot provides an ideal balance of heat retention and responsiveness. It maintains a stable brewing temperature while allowing the vibrant aromas and layered flavors of oolong teas to fully develop.
Handcrafted Craftsmanship
Individually handmade using traditional Yixing techniques, each teapot is carefully shaped and finished with exceptional attention to proportion, symmetry, and detail. Its elegant simplicity showcases the artisan's craftsmanship through flawless execution rather than elaborate decoration.
Ideal for Oolong Teas
The 150 ml capacity is perfectly suited for Gong Fu brewing, allowing tea leaves to unfurl naturally while maintaining precise control over each infusion. It is especially well suited for Dan Cong, Tie Guan Yin, Wuyi Rock Tea, and Taiwanese high mountain oolongs.
Design Concept
The Yu Gai Teapot celebrates the elegance of simplicity. Its broad, gently domed lid flows seamlessly into the cylindrical body, creating a harmonious profile that emphasizes balance, stability, and quiet refinement. Free from unnecessary ornamentation, the design allows the natural beauty of the clay and the precision of the craftsmanship to take center stage.
