About the Artist – Wu Hua Song 武華松

Wu Hua Song is a nationally recognized Arts and Crafts Artist and a member of the Chinese Academy of Arts and Crafts. He also serves as an honorary consultant for the Purple Sand Professional Committee of the Shandong Collection Association and an art consultant for the same committee in Shenzhen.

Born in 1963 in Xuchang, Henan Province—the historic capital of the Three Kingdoms—Wu Hua Song began his professional journey in 1978, when he was assigned to Yixing to specialize in the design and creation of purple clay teapots. His artistic path deepened in 1992 when he pursued formal studies at the Central Department of Industrial and Aesthetic Design. He later studied under two renowned masters: Jiang Rong and Gao Jianfang, both senior-level researchers in the field of Yixing arts.

In 2011, Wu was admitted to the College of Technology and Beauty at China University of Land in Beijing to further advance his research in technological innovation and design refinement. Over the decades, Wu Hua Song has honed a signature style that blends classical elegance with modern sensibility. His works are known for their graceful lines, inventive structure, and balanced proportions—each piece revealing a quiet strength and poetic spirit.

His teapots have been featured in numerous exhibitions and have won multiple awards. Today, his creations are highly sought after by collectors worldwide, admired for their craftsmanship, collectability, and enduring aesthetic appeal.
