Tasting Notes: This Yellow Goddess Oolong from Shi Zi Yan (Lion Rock) offers a graceful expression of Wuyi cliff tea. The liquor is smooth and balanced, with a mild mineral character and a medium roast that gives warmth without heaviness. Floral notes unfold gently through the early infusions, followed by a clean sweetness that becomes more noticeable in the finish.
Yellow Goddess is a modern hybrid cultivar developed from Tieguanyin and Huangdan, the cultivar associated with Huang Jin Gui. This parentage gives the tea both floral lift and a rounded, elegant body. When grown and crafted as Wuyi rock tea, it carries the energy and structure of cliff tea while remaining softer and more approachable than heavier traditional yancha.
This tea is especially suitable for tea lovers who enjoy the mineral energy of Wuyi rock tea but prefer a less intense roast and a smoother drinking experience. The finish is sweet, clean and lingering, making it both refined and easy to return to through multiple infusions.

Brews: Using a Gaiwan or terracotta teapot, 6g for 150ml at 95°C for 15 seconds, 2nd & 3rd infusions 90°C for 10 seconds, add time after 4th infusion.
