Xiao Fan Teapot 小番壺
Features & Benefits
Classic Xiao Fan Form
The Xiao Fan Teapot is admired for its rounded body, softly sloping shoulders, and harmonious proportions. Its elegant silhouette provides excellent balance, a comfortable grip, and a smooth, controlled pour, making it an ideal vessel for Gong Fu tea brewing.
Da Hong Pao Zhu Ni Clay
Crafted from Da Hong Pao Zhu Ni, one of Yixing's most celebrated red clays, this teapot is prized for its fine texture, vibrant reddish hue, and exceptional thermal responsiveness. The clay beautifully enhances floral aromas, sweetness, and lingering aftertaste, making it especially suitable for aromatic oolongs and young raw Pu-erh.
Responsive Heat Control
With a wall thickness of 4.5, this teapot responds quickly to temperature changes while maintaining sufficient heat for consistent brewing. This balance allows delicate aromas and layered flavors to develop with remarkable clarity.
Handcrafted Craftsmanship
Each teapot is individually handmade using traditional Yixing pottery techniques. Every curve, transition, and proportion is carefully refined to achieve visual harmony and exceptional brewing performance, reflecting the artisan's dedication to timeless craftsmanship.
Ideal for Oolongs & Raw Pu-erh
The 150 ml capacity is perfectly suited for Gong Fu tea sessions, providing ample room for tea leaves to unfurl while maintaining precise control over each infusion. Its responsive clay makes it an excellent companion for Dan Cong, Tie Guan Yin, Wuyi Rock Tea, Taiwanese high mountain oolongs, and young raw Pu-erh.
Design Concept
The Xiao Fan Teapot celebrates the beauty of simplicity through its rounded, balanced form and graceful proportions. Its understated elegance reflects the philosophy that exceptional design does not require elaborate decoration. Instead, the natural beauty of the clay and the precision of handcrafted workmanship become the focal point, creating a teapot that is both timeless and highly functional.
