Behind the design-- In traditional Chinese culture, the sky (heavens) is believed to be circular and the earth is believed to be square. The tray's appearance - a circle within a square portrays the harmonious relationship between the two opposing forces.
This is designed in conjunction with the use of yin and yang in multiple aspects of the design - the black and white (colours of its stone surface) and the thick and thin (the symmetrical design used on diagonal ends of the base). The calligraphy circle is drawn clockwise to match the direction of how tea is served. The drainage hole is on the left, allowing for the right hand to pour water out with ease.
Both plastic tray and rubber tube are included. It can be set up to drain directly into the plastic tray or into an under-table reservoir via the rubber tube.

All U.S. orders are shipped via DHL Express for reliable delivery and professional customs clearance.
