This tea cup collection features the well-known “Four Great Beauties” of China: Yang Guifei (Tang Dynasty). Xi Shi (Spring and Autumn Period), Diaochan (Three Kingdoms Period), and Wang Zhaojun (Han Dynasty).
Gilt silver (鎏银) is the decorative technique of combining metals or pottery with silver. This technique is known to exist for thousands of years now – first developed in the Qin dynasty and later popularized during the Song dynasty.
Each silver cup (also known as Yin Zhan Bei) is infused with 10g of silver and artfully paired with porcelain and ceramic by hand, making it truly a collector’s piece for tea-lovers and historians alike.
