Aroma: deep rich herbal notes, steamed rice, earthy vegetables
Tasting Notes: very rich and smooth, slightly sweet like dark chocolate. Cocoa, very earthy. Second brew has notes of earthiness and mushrooms and root vegetables with a thick texture. Sweet cocoa and cookies. Third brew is sweeter and smooth with light chocolatey flavour. Sweet and earthy, savoury and umami. Finishes with warming spices, and hints of dark chocolate and orange. Smooth and consistent.
A great shou pu-erh tea for tea drinkers who enjoy the cocoa flavours that are typical in shou. Sweet cocoa and cooky notes are balanced with warming holiday spices and hints of dark chocolate and orange. The richness of this tea is very consistent and smooth throughout all of the brews.
