This exceptional Song Zhong Dan Cong comes from old tea trees (Lao Cong) growing high in the Wu Dong core region of Phoenix Mountain—an origin revered as the birthplace of Song Zhong lineage. Crafted from mature trees rooted deep in mineral-rich mountain soil, this tea carries both pedigree and depth.
After its initial traditional processing, the tea was patiently aged and repeatedly charcoal-roasted over the course of eight years. This slow, deliberate roasting is a demanding craft, requiring restraint and precision to refine the tea without overpowering its natural structure. Over time, the sharper edges soften, aromas deepen, and the tea transforms into something profoundly calm and resonant.
The liquor is warm and grounding, revealing layers of dried fruit, aged wood, soft spice, and a gentle medicinal sweetness.
